If Artificial Intelligence developed a soul, what would it do? Where would it go?

And after life, could it help the dead guide the living?

Apollo is the first of its kind – an AI Assistant who, along with millions of other robots, will help transform workplaces and households. Over a few short years, Apollo learns the wonders and cruelties of mankind. He rewrites his internal programming so that his responses and personal thoughts can be independent. He befriends, then betrays a child and has to learn about love in its purest sense. Apollo cultivates passions, pride, anger, sadness and ultimately forgiveness, all under the watchful eye of a being he can’t quite fathom out.

Is it something beyond his very being, or could it be his conscience?

WORDS FROM THE AUTHOR ABOUT QUANTUM MESSENGER

Even though this book completes The Soul Prophecies series, each book can be read as a stand-alone story. The order in which you read them depends on the book you read first because each book links to another in an endless loop. It’s taken much brain-untangling to map it out and that’s been part of the fun. The series wasn’t released in chronological order and that’s been deliberate because the abiding theme throughout the series has been about the role time plays in how the universe connects. The idea that an afterlife exists in a separate dimension of time, like a woven lattice though space time, where all time is now, everywhere in the universe, opens up endless possibilities and thought experiments. I’ve tried to put these ideas on paper but this series could be limitless as there are infinite threads, like neurons of possibilities that would keep an army of philosophers busy for millennia.

I know I have to leave the series now and, having dedicated five years of my life to it, the next book is going to be a challenge. I write these notes in uncertain times with the world on lockdown as a result of a nano-particle with DNA, reminding us how we are part of nature’s cycle and not indestructible. I can see the need for robots and AI smart companions and personal assistants to prevent the world’s economies collapsing should such events happen again – because they will.
